The Art of Life Store Front and Gallery current open positions

Job: We host follow-along painting events. For the events, we focus on fun, customer enjoyment and satisfaction with their experience. Artists once trained work mostly independently. Artists are given pre scheduled events but also should be working on business development activities. We have a studio in Grand Rapids MI. and host events on location there, but also do many "away" events where we bring an event kit and set up on site..  Artists will pre-paint a master painting if needed. Regardless of location artists will set up and run events focusing on time management of the group, that they are having fun and are satisfied with their event experience. After the event is done they will tear down and close up studio or repack the kit.  A level of artistic skill is required for this but we have a great training program for the event and instructing portion of the job. 

Requirements

• Be able to consistently recreate master paintings from our library within the given time frames 
• Like people and customer service
• Be comfortable  speaking in-front of small groups
• Be able to lift and carry 30-40 lb 
• Have reliable transportation and ability to transfer event kit to away locations
• Be reliable, we don't want to tell a bachelorette that the party she has been planning for the last year is canceled because the artist did not show
• Follow event script and training instructions
